Lauren Slater is a Senior Associate in the Environment, Health and Safety practice at Eversheds Sutherland, based across Manchester and Leeds. She advises organisations and individuals on health and safety, transport and logistics, environmental matters and inquests, with a particular focus on serious incidents, fatalities and regulatory investigations.

Lauren has significant experience supporting clients through complex multi agency investigations involving the police, the Health and Safety Executive, local authorities, coronial authorities and other regulators, including the ORR, MAIB, RAIB and Trading Standards. Her work spans workplace fatalities, serious road traffic collisions, product safety incidents and rail related investigations. She regularly represents organisations and individuals at interviews under caution and during inquest proceedings, as well as advising on related enforcement action.

She also advises on non contentious regulatory compliance, including driving for work, workplace transport and governance reviews following incidents.

Alongside contentious work, Lauren is increasingly involved in training and thought leadership in the transport and health and safety space, regularly delivering seminars and webinars for national organisations and contributing to industry publications. She is frequently praised for her calm handling of sensitive matters, attention to detail and ability to manage complex evidence and stakeholder issues.
