Paul Verrico has been a leading light globally in the health and safety world for over two decades. Cross-qualified as a Chartered Safety Professional, Paul’s Masters degree is in the psychology of Behaviour Change. He is Taproot lead investigator qualified.

Paul has been engaged to lead multiple fatality investigations in Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong and Oman alongside his European practice. He writes for IOSH and co-authored various iterations of guidance on leading health and safety. As a solicitor-advocate, he has Higher Rights of audience in England and Wales and often takes matters through from initial incident to the end of the court stage. He is a ‘bet the ranch’ option for listed organisations in the aftermath of a serious incident.

As the leader of the EHS practice at Eversheds Sutherland, Paul has developed an entire business line of safety advisory, helping large organisations with safety strategy, psychological safety and system integrity. These complex projects have been delivered to reduce SIF risk and manage critical hazards effectively, engaging the workforce to consider the culture of safety.

Paul is a well known face on the speaker circuit, being regularly invited to address audiences and boardrooms based on his unique perspective and experience. He is also the founder (and remains a trustee) of a volunteer cancer charity, for which he was recognised by the UK Prime Minister as a ‘Point of Light.’
