Senior Associate, Co-Head of EU and Competition Law practice group

Gunta is a Senior Associate and Co-Head of our EU and Competition law practice group.

She has more than 10 years of legal experience, specializing mainly in European Union and competition law. Legal experience has also been gained in administrative law and litigation, as well as in-depth research in various sectors, including IT, media, banking and finance, retail, transport and waste management.

Gunta joined Eversheds Sutherland Bitāns team after more than five years working for the Competition Council. Gunta has participated in international workgroups, as well as organized and participated in discussion panels on topical issues related to competition law.

She has also conducted in-depth studies on the issues of commercial law, which are important both in the daily operations of companies, in cooperation with business partners, and in the acquisition and merger of companies.

Gunta has acquired specialization in competition law and commercial law already within the framework of academic studies.
