Career

Ognjen “Ogi” Zivojnovic is a partner in Quinn Emanuel’s San Francisco office. Drawing upon his background in engineering, his practice is dedicated to helping companies respond to challenges they face at the intersection of law and technology.  His primary focus is patent litigation—where he has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants—and he has also helped clients navigate trade secret, copyright, trademark, contract, fraud, and antitrust issues involving technical subject matter.

Ogi has represented clients in district and state court litigation, International Trade Commission investigations, post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial & Appeal Board and appeals to the Federal Circuit. Leveraging his patent litigation expertise and prior experience as a patent agent, Ogi also counsels clients on high stakes patent prosecution efforts and patent transactions.

An engineer by training, with a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, Ogi previously worked at Qualcomm, where he developed firmware for LTE cell phone modems.  His technical skills run the gamut of computer technology, and he has litigated cases involving consumer software and products, A/V processing and transmission, cloud services, artificial intelligence, network security, traffic routing, graphics processors, wireless chips, and semiconductor manufacture.
