Career

As a projects and construction lawyer, Jon advises on all aspects of the construction and operation of offshore wind and other large renewable energy projects in established and developing markets.

Jon advises sponsors, financial institutions and contractors in relation to the construction and operation of offshore wind, solar and biomass projects across Asia, Europe and the US. Before relocating back to the UK in 2024, Jon was based in Singapore for a number of years where he advised on offshore projects in developing offshore wind markets in APAC, including Australia, Korea and Taiwan.

Jon's recent experience includes performing the role of Commercial Director for the Formosa 2 offshore wind project, which was developed jointly by JERA, Macquarie and Swancor in Taiwan. Jon also recently advised the lender group on the financing of the Fengmiao 1 offshore wind project, having previously advised on the Changfang, Xidao and Zhong Neng offshore wind projects developed by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners in Taiwan.

Jon began his career as a construction litigator and continues to advise on both contentious and non-contentious matters.
