María Elena focuses her practice on the energy sector, specializing in electricity and non-conventional renewable energy. She provides guidance on day-to-day matters to companies in multiple areas and has extensive experience in bidding processes with the Ecuadorian State as well as private sector procurement. Additionally, María Elena has broad experience in corporate law, transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and contract law, having advised various multinational companies and participated in important transactions at a local and international level. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as in-house counsel at an important company in the Ecuadorian electricity and oil sector.
