Career

Adam Brenneman joined Milbank in 2025 as a partner in the firm’s Corporate Finance and Securities Group.

Mr. Brenneman’s innovative work on complex cross-border transactions includes some of the region’s largest capital markets, special situations financing and restructuring transactions. He regularly works for issuers, underwriters and capital providers in transactions ranging from initial public offerings (IPOs), bond issuances, liability management transactions, loans, special situations and distressed investing and distressed exchange offers.

His work has been lauded by Chambers Global, Chambers Latin America, Latinvex, The Legal 500 Latin America, The Legal 500 US, IFLR1000 and others, and Turnarounds & Workouts spotlighted him as an “Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer.”

Mr. Brenneman held a clerkship for Judge Juan Torruella in the US Court of Appeals, 1st Circuit.

He is a founding editor of the Emerging Markets Restructuring Journal.

Education

Mr. Brenneman received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where he was a member of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from George Washington University.
