Farid (Fred) Haroun is a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice of Mayer Brown and focuses on the UAE and Saudi practice.  He advises private and institutional clients on a broad range of complex cross-border transactions, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, corporate reorganizations, and general corporate advisory. He has extensive experience acting for both international and regional sponsors, financial investors, and corporates, guiding them through all stages of the investment lifecycle.

Farid has also significant experience in the real estate and hospitality sectors, where he advises on real estate M&A, joint ventures, development arrangements, and operating agreements. He regularly acts for real estate developers, sponsors, and investors on landmark acquisitions and large-scale development projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other key jurisdictions.

In addition to his transactional practice, Farid advises clients on contentious matters, including commercial disputes, and regularly represents clients in proceedings before UAE courts and the DIFC Courts.
