Maria Rita Dutra advises clients in complex domestic arbitration proceedings, with a particular focus on infrastructure disputes involving the construction and energy sectors. She has extensive experience acting throughout all phases of arbitration, including the assessment and structuring of claims and defenses, evidentiary proceedings, hearings and post-award matters. Her practice frequently involves engineering and EPC contracts, long-term supply agreements and highly technical disputes requiring coordination with experts and multidisciplinary teams.

Maria Rita combines strong procedural expertise with a pragmatic understanding of clients’ commercial objectives. She holds an LL.M. in Procedural Civil Law and Arbitration from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and a postgraduate degree in International Commercial Arbitration from PUC-SP, providing a solid foundation for handling sophisticated procedural and strategic arbitration matters.
