Anthony M. Insogna is a pharmaceutical and biotech patent attorney who has assisted clients with developing lifesaving medicines for over three decades.  He has protected innovations and enforced patents for leading companies including AbbVie, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Kyowa Kirin, Puma Biotechnology, and Merck & Co.  He has patented or enforced patents for several dozen products including best-selling medicines for hematology, oncology, virology, such as immunotherapies, gene therapies, engineered CARs, vaccines and gene editing technologies.

Anthony has significant district court, PTAB and ITC experience.  He has handled over 125 Hatch-Waxman cases for medicines, including Revlimid®, Abraxane®, Pomalyst®, Bridion®, Focalin®, Dojolvi®, and dozens more.  He has handled over 85 IPRs and PGRs in challenges to life sciences patents.  Anthony represents ToolGen in patent interferences involving the Nobel prize winning CRISPR/Cas9 technology which is a closely watched case in the industry.

Anthony regularly conducts pre-litigation due diligence for life sciences companies as well as due diligence for investors, such as private equity and hedge funds.  Anthony leads the Jones Day IP Practice, which is one of the most successful integrated and cohesive teams in the world comprising 225 professionals across 28 offices and 7 countries.”
