Iván Martín-Barbón has over 20 years of experience advising sponsors, financial institutions, asset managers, and investment firms on cross-border deals spanning real estate finance, private credit, energy transition, and structured and asset-backed finance, with a strong focus on financial regulation.

Iván leads the real estate finance (REF) team within the Spanish "Real Estate One-Stop Shop" platform, offering clients a fully coordinated legal strategy across the entire real estate investment life cycle.

His practice brings together three intersecting areas: real estate finance — structuring sponsor-led and asset-backed deals with local insight and cross-border execution; structured finance — from leverage solutions (warehouse, repo, NAV) to securitization frameworks; and financial regulation.

This breadth gives Iván a 360º understanding of the financial system, helping clients navigate legal, regulatory, and commercial risk in highly dynamic sectors.
