Steve is also a nationally renowned golf course attorney, having created a niche market in the golf industry for his firm. In addition to working diligently to ensure the success of his clients, Steve is equally dedicated to helping members of his community through a variety of endeavors. Highlighting those efforts was Steve’s pro bono work for The Maple Counseling Center, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that provides mental health services to those in need. His work led to Lurie receiving The State Bar of California’s “Wiley W. Manuel Pro Bono Award,” which is given to a select number of attorneys who make a significant contribution to California by volunteering their time and legal expertise on behalf of non-profits and low-income clients. Steve also serves on the Advisory Board for the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission, which secures and supports high-profile sports and entertainment events in Los Angeles, with a mission of creating lasting and positive economic, cultural and social impact for the Los Angeles region. Steve is also a longstanding member of the Board of Directors for the City of Hope Los Angeles Real Estate Council, which has raised more than $26 million to benefit groundbreaking cancer and diabetes research.

Steve’s career is a homegrown success story, having started at Greenberg Glusker as a summer clerk and through perseverance and dedication becoming a mainstay of the firm’s success. He has also served on the firm’s management committee for ten years.
