Career

Monica has extensive experience in the field of Criminal Litigation, which she has built throughout her career at top-tier institutions. She began her professional career in 2014, when she joined the Prosecutor’s Office for the Section Against Money Laundering and Other Assets, where she held key roles until 2015. Between 2015 and 2019, she became part of the Special Prosecutor's Office Against Impunity (FECI), where she played a crucial role in investigating and prosecuting complex crimes, expanding her expertise in high-impact cases. 

In May 2019, Monica made a strategic shift in her career by moving to the private sector, joining the Dispute Resolution department at Arias. In this department, she has taken on a prominent role as a technical defender in large-scale cases, protecting and managing multi-million-dollar sums in litigation involving highly complex crimes, such as tax fraud, customs smuggling, customs fraud, and sophisticated fraud networks between workers and employers. Her analytical approach, problem-solving ability, and vast experience in complex litigation have made her a benchmark in the legal field.
