McKinney, Bancroft & Hughes Congratulate Alicia A. Gibson on her Promotion to Senior Associate
It is with great pleasure that we announce the promotion of Ms. Alicia Gibson to Senior Associate at McKinney, Bancroft & Hughes.
Alicia joined the firm in 2023 and specializes in Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Trust and Private Client matters.
On her promotion, Alicia shared: "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the executive committee and the Partnership for the opportunity to be promoted as a Senior Associate. Special thanks to my Supervising Partner, Vanessa Smith, for the love, support and mentorship. ABOUT ALICIA A. GIBSON
Alicia A. Gibson is a member of the firm's Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Trust & Private Clients practice groups.
She began her legal education at the then College of The Bahamas, where she earned an Associate of Arts Degree in Law and Criminal Justice. She went on to obtain a Bachelor of Laws with Business from the University of Sussex in Brighton, England, in 2014, before completing the Bar Professional Training Course at City, University of London in 2015.
Alicia was called to the Bar of England & Wales and the Bar of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in 2015 and is a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in International Dispute Resolution, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law, and a Master of Laws in Maritime Law.
Prior to joining the firm, Alicia was employed at the Office of the Attorney General of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, where she specialized in matters involving international legal cooperation, human rights, and civil litigation.
Alicia is committed to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism and is recognized for her competence, efficiency, and dedication to achieving favourable results for her clients. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with her family.
