David Haber is a partner in the firm’s Transactions Practice Group and a member of the Emerging Growth Companies & Venture Capital group.

Dave is a rare breed of lawyer—one with the skills, experience and judgment to advise global corporations, as well as the entrepreneurial spirit, tenacity and passion to guide startups and investors from formation through exit.

Dave works with companies at all stages. From seed capital raising to expansion stage financing transactions to multibillion-dollar public acquisitions, his experience allows him to advise companies and investors through the entire company lifecycle. He has worked with technology companies throughout his entire career, beginning in Silicon Valley during the late ’90s technology boom and now from the New York area.

For early-stage companies, he helps founders plan for success. This entails not only providing sound legal documentation, but delivering valuable advice as to market terms and expectations. Together with the global Brown Rudnick team, Dave connects young companies to a vast network of people—ranging from accountants to venture capitalists—who can help them succeed.

Dave’s 25-plus years of experience, good judgment and top-rated technical skills allow him to successfully advise later-stage companies and investors. He has worked on more than 100 M&A deals ranging from public acquisitions to nine-figure venture-backed exits to smaller bolt-on acquisitions for today's up-and-coming technology leaders.

Since 2006, Dave has also served as an adjunct professor of finance at Columbia Business School, teaching second-year courses on venture capital and entrepreneurial law to MBA candidates.

Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Dave was a partner in WilmerHale’s Emerging Company and Venture Capital practice. He previously practiced in the Silicon Valley offices of Brobeck, Phlegher & Harrison and Weil Gotshal & Manges.

Outside of work, when not spending time with his treasured wife and children, you’ll likely find Dave daydreaming about cars, guitars and motorcycles.
