Jana advises Bahamian and international clients on all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions.

Her practice focuses on:

Representing vendors and purchasers in the sale and acquisition of residential & commercial real estate Representing mortgagees and mortgagors in secured financing transactions Drafting commercial and residential leases Applying for regulatory approvals from the Bahamas Investment Authority and Central Bank of The Bahamas Advising property owners on real property tax matters

Assisted in representing the Vendor in a $3.3 million sale of property in Abaco Assisted in representing both the Vendor and Purchaser in a $1.5 million sale and acquisition of a unit at Sterling Commons Hurricane Hole on Paradise Island Assisted in representing both the Vendor and Purchaser in the $975,000 sale and acquisition of a unit at Sterling Commons Hurricane Hole on Paradise Island Assisted in representing the Purchasers in the acquisition of a townhouse unit in Turnberry Assisted in representing the Purchasers in the acquisition of a property in High Point Estates Successfully represented the owner of a property at Baker’s Bay in a multimillion-dollar appeal to the Department of Inland Revenue Assisted in representing mortgagees and mortgagors in various secured financing transactions. Education

Jana studied law at The University of Buckingham, UK where she was awarded her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with First Class Honours in 2020.

She then went on to complete her Bar Practice Course at The University of Law, London Bloomsbury, UK in 2022. She also obtained her Master of Laws (LLM) from The University of Law, London Bloomsbury, UK in 2022.

Jana was called to the Bar of England & Wales at Gray’s Inn in July of 2022 and was called to the Bar of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas in November of 2022.

Jana also attended Lyford Cay International School where she received her International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Diploma) in 2016.
