Education

Takeio obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Law and Criminal Justice from The College of The Bahamas in 2016.

He then went on to study law in the United Kingdom, obtaining a Bachelor of Laws from The University of Buckingham with Upper Second Class Honours (2:1) in 2018.

Thereafter, he obtained a Master of Laws with a specialization in International Trade and Maritime Law in 2019, graduating with Distinction from The University of Buckingham.

During his time at The University of Buckingham, Takeio was a member of the Law Society as well as the Caribbean Society.

Upon completion of his Master’s Degree, he went on to successfully complete the Bar Professional Training Course at City, University of London in 2022.

Takeio was called to the Bar of England and Wales by The Honourable Society of The Inner Temple in March 2023, and was subsequently called to the Bar of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas in June 2023.
