Position

Alexander is a member of Baker McKenzie's Litigation and Government Enforcement Practice in Houston and the Global Dispute Resolution Group. He has extensive trial and appellate litigation experience in resolving complex commercial disputes for his clients, which includes leading cases before the Supreme Court, the United States Circuit Courts of Appeals, Texas and California appellate courts, and before state and federal trial courts throughout the country.

Alexander has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients and has helped his clients avoid many hundred millions more through successful defense verdicts and judgments. Alexander has won cases for his clients in all court levels – including small claims courts, bankruptcy courts, district courts, intermediate appellate courts, and the United States Supreme Court. Alexander regularly leverages his extensive courtroom experience to provide each client and case the specialized expertise required to successfully navigate the case towards the best possible resolution.

Alexander graduated from Texas A&M University and thereafter served as an artillery officer in the United States Marine Corps. After graduating magna cum laude from Saint Mary's University School of Law, Alexander served as a briefing attorney to Justice Phil Johnson of the Supreme Court of Texas.

Career

Alexander's practice is focused on civil trial and appellate litigation. He is highly experienced in representing clients in disputes across various industries, including oilfield services, private equity, pharmaceutical co-development agreements, product-liability, manufacturing, construction, and telecommunications. He routinely assists business owners with complex valuation, investment fraud, fiduciary duty disputes, protection of intellectual property rights, catastrophic injury defense, and insurance coverage disputes.

Alexander also regularly pursues declaratory relief in state and federal courts to clarify indemnity, defense and additional insured rights in oil and gas contracts.
