Carey Olsen

Leon is an associate in the corporate group of Carey Olsen's Cayman Islands office, specialising in investment funds. He has broad experience advising on the structuring, formation and operation of funds pursuing a range of investment strategies, as well as related fund transactions.

Prior to joining Carey Olsen, Leon was with each of Burness Paull LLP and Pinsent Masons LLP in Scotland, as well as Kirkland and Ellis International LLP in London. Leon has specialised in investment funds since qualification, assisting sophisticated and early-stage sponsors with the structuring and operation of funds pursuing a range of strategies; GP and LP-led secondaries; primary investments; management entity structuring; carried interest and co-investment schemes; the provision of debt finance to funds; and the management of ESG-related risks and opportunities.

Leon obtained his LLB and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Edinburgh.

He was admitted as a solicitor of the Law Society of Scotland in 2018.
