Nicolas Champ is a senior associate in Carey Olsen’s Bermuda corporate and finance team. He advises on corporate, finance, insurance and regulatory matters, with particular expertise in insurance-linked securities (ILS), corporate restructurings and lending transactions.

Nicolas brings more than 20 years of international experience and is recognised for his pragmatic approach and ability to deliver clarity on complex financial structures. He joined Carey Olsen in 2025, bringing a commitment to excellence, collaboration and client-focused practice.

Nicolas began his legal career in Paris before relocating to London and later Bermuda. Over the course of his practice, he has advised on complex cross-border transactions, structured finance and ILS matters, insurance and reinsurance arrangements, corporate restructurings and regulatory compliance within Bermuda’s financial and supervisory framework. He is a qualified lawyer in Bermuda, England (currently non-practising), and France (currently non-practising).

His experience spans leading law firms in major financial centres, supporting clients on high-value corporate and insurance-related mandates.
