Alex is a partner in the corporate and finance team of Carey Olsen in Bermuda and advises on all aspects of corporate and finance transactions.

Alex advises on the structuring, negotiation and execution of complex corporate, finance and regulatory transactions across a range of sectors, with a particular emphasis on insurance. He also advises on Bermuda’s corporate income tax regime and economic substance requirements, guiding clients through the jurisdiction’s evolving regulatory landscape and cross-border compliance obligations.

Prior to joining Carey Olsen in Bermuda, Alex was a Senior Associate in the London office of international law firm, Watson Farley & Williams LLP having worked in both the project finance and the real estate finance teams.

Alex obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from the University of Toronto (Trinity College), a Master of Arts in law from the University of Bristol and a Master of Business Administration (with distinction) from Imperial College London.

Alex was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in September 2013 and called to the Bermuda Bar in May 2018. He became a partner in 2025.
