James is a partner in the Jersey Corporate team. With more than 20 years' experience, he has acted for clients in a large number of M&A and IPO transactions and has extensive experience in real estate investment structuring, fund formation and finance work, and private equity.

James has an extensive knowledge of the legal and regulatory regime in Jersey and has a broad corporate practice. Prior to joining Ogier, James was a partner in another large offshore law firm. He has extensive experience of acting on complex high value corporate matters and real estate investment structures.

James is part of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity team. He specialises in downstream corporate advisory work, with additional experience in fund formations and fund finance. He has moderated panels at the Fund Finance Association's European Conferences.

He takes a commercial approach to delivering legal advice and solving legal issues for clients.

He regularly publishes articles and speaks at conferences.
