Oliver has a broad corporate and finance practice. He advises on all aspects of transactions involving Jersey or British Virgin Islands incorporated entities. On the finance side, Oliver has advised on a number of high-profile project financings, asset financings, aviation financings, export financing, acquisition and cross-border leveraged financings. On the corporate side, Oliver regularly works on notable corporate restructurings, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and listings.

Oliver holds a BA and MA (Hons) in law from the University of Oxford and a commendation from BBP London (LPC). He was a bursary student at Ogier and held a scholarship at Elizabeth College, Guernsey.

In 2021, Oliver received Jersey Law Society Prizes for the highest mark in his Jersey Law Exams for Company Law and Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure and Legal Professional Ethics.
