Career
Paul is a partner in the Banking and Finance team of Ogier's Guernsey office. He regularly advises a wide range of financial institutions, alternative lenders and corporates on banking, derivatives, corporate, and finance transactions, predominantly of a multi-jurisdictional nature. He also regularly advises on leveraged finance transactions and listings on the International Stock Exchange. Paul is also part of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity and Restructuring and Insolvency teams.
As a member of Ogier's Restructuring and Insolvency team, Paul specialises in refinancing, corporate restructuring and reorganisation, and formal insolvency procedures. He regularly advises upon refinancing, restructuring and reorganisation strategies, together with security enhancement, enforcement of security and insolvency procedures.
And, as a member of Ogier's Private Equity team, Paul specialises in advising financial institutions and private equity sponsors on leveraged buyout and acquisition financing transactions. His achievements include advising a consortium consisting of Apax, Warburg Pincus, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, on the Guernsey financing aspects of the US$3.4 billion take private of Inmarsat.
Paul also regularly advises global investment banks in respect of industry standard documentation produced by the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, the International Capital Market Association and the International Securities Lending Association.

Education
Paul holds a Bachelor of Laws in English and French law from King’s College London, and a Maîtrise en Droit from Université Paris 1, Panthéon-Sorbonne. He qualified as an English Solicitor in 2009 and as a Guernsey Advocate in 2016.
