Christopher advises financial institutions, alternative lenders, investment funds and corporate clients on a broad range of multi-jurisdictional transactions.
As a partner in the Guernsey Banking and Finance team, Christopher has extensive experience in respect of a wide range of banking and finance matters, including real estate finance, fund finance, asset finance, event driven secured and unsecured financing, derivatives, corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, listings and regulation.
As the lead non-contentious partner in the firm's multi-disciplinary Restructuring and Insolvency Guernsey team, Christopher's practice covers all non-contentious aspects of restructuring and reorganisations, including loan workouts, schemes of arrangement and issues relating to security creation, maintenance and enforcement. He regularly advises on complex cross border reorganisations of regulated and non-regulated structures.
Christopher also leads the Guernsey Aviation and Marine sector and advises a wide range of clients on all Guernsey aspects relating to aviation and maritime assets, including registrations on the Guernsey aircraft registry, 2-REG.
His transactions include advising a consortium consisting of Apax, Warburg Pincus, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, on the Guernsey financing aspects of the US$3.4 billion take private of Inmarsat.
Christopher also regularly advises global investment banks in respect of industry standard documentation produced by the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, the International Capital Market Association and the International Securities Lending Association.
Christopher is an advocate of the Royal Court of Guernsey, a solicitor in England and Wales and a member of the Bar of New York.
