Gareth has a wide range of experience in all aspects of commercial real estate work, and in particular development work. He acts for landowners, developers and local authorities in relation to large scale development and regeneration schemes.

Trained: Forbes & Partners, Blackburn; qualified 1995; assistant solicitor 1995-96; assistant solicitor, Ashurst Morris Crisp, London 1996-2002; assistant solicitor, Halliwells (previously Halliwell Landau), Manchester 2002-05, partner 2005; partner Gateley 2010 to date.

Garstang High School and Lancaster Royal Grammar School; Brasenose College, Oxford (1991 BA (Hons) in Mathematics 2:1); Manchester Metropolitan University (1992 Common Professional Examination; 1993 Law Society Final Examination).

Gareth enjoys running and cycling. He supports Liverpool FC. He also struggles to maintain and cultivate an allotment, with some help from his kids.
