With 20 years of experience in family law, Nicola Harris has spent her entire career at MSB Solicitors. She specialises in complex child law matters, domestic abuse cases, and public law care and adoption proceedings. Nicola is a Partner at MSB Solicitors, where she plays a key role in the firm’s strategic focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (EDI), and is an active member of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee.

Nicola is passionate about fostering a supportive environment for both clients and colleagues and is committed to advancing ESG initiatives within the legal profession. A member of Resolution, she is dedicated to supporting clients through non-confrontational and child-centred approaches to family disputes. She holds special accreditation in Domestic Abuse and Private Law Children cases and is a member of the Law Society Children Panel, bringing both legal expertise and sensitivity to the most vulnerable members of society.

In addition to her legal practice, Nicola is committed to mentoring the next generation of lawyers. She regularly mentors law students aspiring to legal careers, offering guidance on both legal skills and the practical aspects of the profession. Through her pro bono work, she provides legal advice via a weekly clinic - an effort that earned her a place on the Pro Bono Recognition List in acknowledgment of her dedication to providing free legal services to those in need.

Nicola joined MSB in 2005 as an Associate Solicitor and was made a Partner in 2017.

A member of Resolution, Nicola is dedicated to supporting clients through child-centered approaches to family disputes. She holds special accreditation in Domestic Abuse and Private Law Children cases and is a member of the Children Panel, bringing expertise, sensitivity, and solutions to the most vulnerable members of society. Nicola is driven by a commitment to securing the best outcomes for children and families, while also contributing to the ongoing evolution of the legal profession as Chair of the ESG subcommittee representing women. Nicola is a regular speaker at domestic abuse conferences hosted by the Law Society and also sits on the University of Liverpool Law Clinic Management Board.
