Associate & Clinical Negligence Solicitor
Kate first joined Fletchers in 2016 as a Solicitor/Specialist Litigator in the Medical Negligence Department. She was quickly recognised both internally and externally for her excellent performance, distinct technical skills in civil litigation and her excellent customer care.
Kate is a multiple nominee for the Lawyer of the Year Award and was ranked in the Legal 500 as one of only three Medical Negligence Lawyers in the Northwest in the Rising Star category in 2019 and has retained her status since.
Kate has also worked in our Serious Injury team, giving her all round experience and skills in all areas of medical negligence and serious injury. During her time in serious injury, Kate has specialised in amputation, brain and spinal injury cases, as well as ophthalmic, paediatric, colorectal, orthopaedic, obstetrics and gynaecological cases. She also has experience working on and complex fatal incidents and neurological and neurosurgical matters.
Now, Kate and her team specifically manage amputation cases. She has a close affiliation with the Amputation Foundation and enjoys charitable work and fundraising. Kate is also involved in the Amputation Campaign, working closely with a panel of specialists in the field on a bespoke prosthesis provision and support for an individual, in order to raise wider awareness.
Kate is also a Lead Associate for Stick ‘n’ Step and Cauda Equina Charity.
