Christian is a Partner and currently the seconded Head of Legal Strategy and Operations. A medical negligence solicitor, Christian has specialised in medical negligence claims for over 25 years having dealt with a wide variety of claims throughout his career including some of the biggest clinical negligence group action claims in the UK. 

He has also featured in the Legal 500 as a recommended claimant solicitor in the North West.

Christian qualified as a solicitor in 1998 having trained in Chester & North Wales. He established a particular interest in Group Action work at an early point in his career, being a lead claimant solicitor in the MMR Litigation. Between 2010 and 2015, he pursued gynaecological and urogynaecological claims, representing several hundred claimants in the George Rowland Litigation against the Liverpool Women’s and Aintree Hospitals. This investigated the treatment given to women in the Merseyside area over several decades, and in particular focused on the introduction and development of mesh into the UK in both the treatment of stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. He has successfully recovered hundreds of thousands of pounds in compensation on behalf of his clients.

Christian is a strong advocate of collaboration with the NHS to resolve claims swiftly and cost effectively having helped evolve and develop a number of bespoke ADR protocols for group claims. He firmly believes in the delivery of access to justice for all level of claims and the importance of ensuring the lower value medical negligence claims are given the high level of service they deserve through optimisation of processes.

In his current role in the Strategy team Christian has a focus on the implementation of change across the legal teams and the introduction of new and improved processes. He is Chair of the Innovation Group and part of the AI Working Group looking at the effective use of emerging technology to support and assist effective claim progression.
