Emma joined Blackadders in 2013 to lead the Commercial Real Estate team, following 13 years with Burness in Edinburgh. Dual qualified in Scots and English law, she is a highly experienced property practitioner with particular expertise in property finance, investment and development transactions, and landlord and tenant negotiations—especially across the office, retail, and leisure sectors.

Now serving as Joint Managing Partner alongside Ryan McKay, Emma plays a key role in shaping and delivering the firm’s strategic vision. She is passionate about providing first-class client service and nurturing the development of our people.

Emma continues to bring a wealth of sector knowledge to her work, regularly advising housebuilders, developers, SIPP providers, property investors, and retailers.
