Deals
- Led and managed several syndicated lending deals for an established German bank. This included financing property developments, acquisitions, and investments, involving structures such as property unit trusts, and subordination of debt.
- Acted for major banks in portfolio finance/refinance. This included carrying out due diligence; reporting on security; and reporting on validity of appointment of receivers.
- Acted as part of a team for a private developer on a £130m refinancing of a site in Hackney.
- Advised a British private and merchant bank on a multi-million-pound term loan facility made to a Jersey incorporated borrower to fund the acquisition of a Watford property. Additionally advised on a loan to fund the acquisition by an LLP of a large multi let shopping complex.
- Acted for an alternative property investment company in drafting new precedent real estate finance documents for the client to use in house going forwards, including a cost overrun guarantee, legal mortgage over property and personal guarantee.
- Advised a well-known British bank on the refinancing of an existing portfolio of pubs and bars as well as the subsequent financing of the acquisition of additional bars.
- Acted for a real estate investment company on a £35m facility secured over various multi-let properties on Kings Road, Chelsea.
- Acted for a bank which provides Sharia compliant banking services. This included assisting on a Sharia finance murabaha facility for the refinancing of the purchase price and purchase costs associated with the acquisition of two properties used as student accommodation.
- Acted for a high street lender on a £22m refinancing secured over nine mixed-use and four residential properties.
