Career

Katie is head of the York office and a partner in our agricultural department.

She boasts over ten years’ experience of dealing with commercial and agricultural property matters.

Katie takes pride in getting to know her clients and their business so she can offer them the best personalised advice.

She can provide advice on a wide range of issues with the agriculture and food sector and the energy and infrastructure sector including:

Sale and purchase of agricultural land and farms Option agreements Overage agreements Farm business tenancies First registrations of land and estates Option agreements and lease agreements in respect renewable energy projects Development of agricultural land (including promotion agreements and joint ventures) Partnership agreements and advice surrounding partnership matters"

Education

Katie graduated from the University of York with a degree in Health Sciences before studying the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at The College of Law in York.

She qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and has previously been a partner in a large local high street firm heading up their commercial property and agricultural departments.
