Cephas is a commercial litigation and dispute resolution specialist, with experience in transactional matters as well. He counsels and advises clients on a whole host of matters ranging from litigation, international arbitration and insolvency, to fund raising, joint venture agreements, and employment matters.

Cephas has appeared in both Court and arbitral proceedings on a wide range of corporate commercial disputes, including shareholder disputes, commercial cross border disputes, and investor fraud. Some of the clients that Cephas regularly advises range from start-ups, listed companies, banks, SMEs, and private individuals, as well as liquidators of companies.

On the commercial front, Cephas advises businesses on both general matters such as employment law, commercial contracts and arrangements, as well as more specialized matters in the realm of insolvency and bankruptcy.

Cephas graduated Magna Cum Laude from Singapore Management University where he was placed on the Dean’s Lists numerous times. Cephas was awarded the winner of the Yong Pung How Bursary in 2013. Cephas was also ranked in the top few positions in the Singapore Bar Examinations for his year. Cephas enjoys advocacy, and has appeared before the Supreme Court and the State Courts. Cephas finished runner up in the Essex Courts Chambers – Singapore Academy of Law International Mooting Competition in 2016.

Cephas began his career with BlackOak LLC, a highly ranked boutique law firm specializing in insolvency and restructuring. He joined Aquinas Law Alliance as a partner on May 2019.
