Matthew qualified as a Solicitor in 1996 and joined the firm in 2001. His practice covers all aspects of insolvency law (both personal and corporate) as well as commercial dispute resolution.

Matthew’s insolvency practice has a particular focus on the purchase and sale of businesses from financially distressed companies. Matthew has extensive recent experience of acting for both purchasers and administrators on these transactions.

Matthew’s dispute resolution practice encompasses proceedings in the high court and country court as well as arbitration and expert determination. He has experience of obtaining freezing orders and other injunctive relief from the courts.

Matthew is a keen advocate of alternative dispute resolution, in particular mediation.
