Senior Associate, Lead

Ms. Zaman joined Mahbub & Company in 2021 as a Corporate and Commercial Associate. Through her continued contribution to the firm’s practice and client advisory, she has since progressed to the role of Senior Associate and currently co-leads the Corporate and Employment Department of the firm. She plays an active role in supporting the firm’s leadership within these practice areas.

Her work covers a wide spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, with particular focus on corporate advisory and corporate restructuring. She consults on and facilitates transactions relating to domestic and cross-border investments, including foreign direct investment, and assists foreign investors in establishing businesses in Bangladesh through various entity structures such as private limited companies, joint ventures, representative offices, and branch offices. Her work also encompasses obtaining foreign work permits and securing all necessary approvals and registrations with the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA). She is also involved in matters relating to banking and financial services, including fintech and digital financial platforms, as well as regulatory compliance across multiple sectors. Her portfolio also includes international and commercial agreements.

In addition, Tasmiah has extensive experience in employment law, including employment contracts, workplace policies, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution matters and advisory on sexual harassment in the workplace.
