With over 20 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, Kate brings deep expertise and a genuinely practical approach to helping businesses navigate their most important legal matters.

Kate’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings, business succession, corporate governance and general commercial contracting. She is passionate about supporting clients to build value, achieve key milestones and drive successful exit outcomes.

Kate works with clients across a range of industries including construction, manufacturing, retail, information technology and professional services. She is known for her proactive, commercial approach - cutting through complexity to deliver clear, strategic advice that makes a real difference.

Before re-joining the firm 2026, Kate spent time working in-house as General Counsel for a disability support services provider, where she established the legal function and led initiatives in governance, compliance and commercial contracting. This experience gives her valuable insight into the challenges her clients face from the inside.

Kate’s experience includes advising a large family business on multiple acquisitions to drive its growth strategy, implementing a comprehensive family succession plan across a multi-entity group, assisting the shareholders of a technology business to navigate a complex exit involving minority shareholder opposition, acting for the shareholders of a beverage manufacturing company on a partial equity sell-down to a large corporate, and advising a founder on his sale of business to a multinational corporation.

Kate holds a Master of Laws (Commercial Law) from the University of Melbourne and a Certificate in Governance Practice from the Governance Institute. She has been recognised in The Best Lawyers™ in Australia for mergers and acquisitions law (2021 – 2024).
