Johannes heads the Employment practice in the UAE and is a partner in the  Corporate Group in our Abu Dhabi office.

Johannes works closely with clients on their mergers & acquisitions, joint venture and foreign direct investment work. His experience includes advising international and domestic clients (including family-owned businesses) on mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate advisory work (including set-ups with all related regulatory and licensing requirements), corporate restructuring, and commercial and employment issues. He acts for clients hailing from a broad range of sectors, including education, energy, defence, healthcare, manufacturing, telecommunications, and the public sector.

He has a strong understanding of the UAE market, having lived and worked here since 2005. Prior to joining Bird & Bird, I worked for another international law firm in Abu Dhabi for over ten years.
