Paula Garralón is senior associate in the Bird & Bird's Commercial and Privacy & Data Protection department in the Madrid office.

She specialises in privacy issues providing continuous advice on data projects across multiple sectors, in particular on insurance legislation. In order to provide detailed advice it is necessary to know the sector in depth, so she regularly meets and gets involved with as many teams as possible within the firm.

Paula has provided advice in multiple sectors (retail, food & beverage, insurance, telecoms, etc.) during the years prior to the application of the General Data Protection Regulation as well as during the implementation of the new regulation. She also specialises in electronic commerce legislation, allowing her to provide a complete service not only on data protection but also on privacy and electronic commerce.

Meeting her client's needs and understanding how to anticipate problems before they arise is essential for Paula to being able to provide an efficient service for them. She is used to working internationally which has helped her to develop a wider view of the law. Paula has always believed that a good lawyer is the one who goes with you, guiding and providing solutions that enable her clients to meet their objectives.
