Tamás is a special consultant in the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets team of the Budapest office, where he advises Hungarian and international financial institutions, developers, borrowers, and sponsors on complex financing transactions, including acquisition and project financing, refinancing and debt restructuring.

With over 20 years' experience specialising in banking and finance, project finance, restructuring, and corporate and bankruptcy and insolvency law, he advises on financing matters, including power plant and other infrastructure projects. He has specialist experience in insolvency law matters and with construction contracts related to real estate and infrastructure.

Before joining Bird & Bird, he worked at another leading international firm in Budapest for over 14 years. He also spent four years working in London, initially at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and later in the project finance department of a major international law firm. During this time, he worked on the legal aspects of financing diverse public and private projects in Central and Eastern Europe and in the former Soviet Union, including motorways and port developments.
