Senior Associate

Mátyás is a senior associate in the Real Estate and Construction team of Bird & Bird's Budapest office.

He has in-depth experience in complex real estate transactions, including sale and purchase of office buildings, shopping centers, warehouses and industrial facilities. Furthermore, he has advised clients in various high value real estate development projects. He has participated in the whole lifecycle of real estate transactions, including preparatory stages, due diligence and execution of transactional documentation, closing and post-closing tasks.

He started his professional career as a junior assistant professor, and at the same time, he worked for the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade as a legal desk officer. In 2016, he served as a consul and Hungarian community diplomat at the Consulate General of Hungary in Chicago.

Before joining the real estate team in the Hungarian office, he spent several years working for other leading international and domestic law firms.
