Senior Associate

As head of the Employment team and member of the Dispute Resolution team of the Budapest office, Karim has experience in a wide range of general and M&A related employment matters, as well as employment litigation and other commercial matters and disputes.

Since joining Bird & Bird in 2016, he has gained extensive experience in various complex employment matters, including reorganisation and outsourcing projects, termination and cross-border employment matters and he regularly works on the employment aspects of M&A transactions. He also has dispute resolution experience in both employment and complex commercial litigation.

He has a passion for sports law and the development of esports in Hungary. Since joining the firm, he has also gained experience in sports regulation and governance and he understands the links between employment and sports law.

He is also passionate about environmental protection. He has been working for the Hungarian Jane Goodall Institute as a pro-bono legal advisor since 2019.

In addition to legal expertise, he has also gained project management experience during the virtual secondments he was assigned to previously. He spent six months with an international manufacturer of printers and office software producer and almost a year with a Hungarian manufacturer of sports equipment.
