Jae acts for financial institutions, corporates, developers and private equity funds engaged in infrastructure finance and energy transactions, including transactions in the renewable energy sector. His clients include major Australian and international banks, private credit funds and corporate sponsors seeking project finance, acquisition finance and corporate lending across their energy transition and infrastructure programs.

Jae advises on the full range of project and infrastructure finance transactions, including EPC-backed project finance, acquisition and corporate lending, energy transition financing and cross-border capital structures. He acts for both financial institutions and corporate borrowers, providing advice on finance documentation, project documentation (including power purchase agreements), security arrangements, regulatory requirements and transaction structuring. His practice covers energy projects, major infrastructure transactions and project financings across Asia-Pacific, South America and Africa.

Jae advises on multi-jurisdictional transactions across Australia, Asia-Pacific, South America and Africa. He has advised on financings exceeding US$1 billion for some of Asia's largest power stations. He has also advised on financings for some of Australia’s largest renewable energy and port infrastructure projects. He has advised on utility-scale solar, wind and battery storage projects, as well as port, transport and industrial infrastructure. Jae has acted on a number of one-of-a-kind projects that have been recognised by leading trade and industry publications.

Jae brings 20 years of energy and banking experience, including 16 years practising in Hong Kong with global firms Eversheds Sutherland, Herbert Smith Freehills and Latham and Watkins. His international background gives him direct experience across complex cross-border capital structures and regulated infrastructure markets that is uncommon in the domestic Australia market.

Jae is admitted to the Senior Courts of England and Wales, the High Court of Hong Kong, as well as the High Court of New Zealand.
