Career

Shannon acts for developers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, government departments and project owners building a wide range of projects including airport, road, rail, grain handling and defence infrastructure, student accommodation, hospitals, aged care facilities, shopping centres, offices, fit-outs and football ovals.

Shannon advises on all stages of the project lifecycle, including procurement, contract drafting, negotiation and delivery. He also acts in construction and infrastructure disputes, including litigation, arbitration, expert determination and adjudication, with particular experience in delay, disruption, variation and defect claims.

His assignments include construction documentation for Adelaide Airport's A$600M Project Flight Capital Works Program, the A$100 million Adelaide Football Club headquarters at Thebarton Oval and a A$250M Premium Student Accommodation tower at 88 North Terrace.

Shannon provides practical, commercial advice across contract advisory and dispute resolution in the construction sector. He also lectures at Adelaide University and brings in-house experience from Adelaide Airport, the South Australian Crown Solicitor’s Office and Seymour Whyte.
