Peytee acts for private sector biotechnology companies, Cooperative Research Centres, tertiary education institutions including universities, and local and state government departments. She is a Patent and Trade Marks Attorney and holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Cancer Cell Biology from the University of Melbourne and Peter MacCallum Cancer Institute.

Peytee advises on research and development agreements, commercialisation of intellectual property, patent, trade mark and design registration and enforcement, collaboration agreements in medical technology, biotechnology and agricultural biotechnology, IP licensing, and information technology supply agreements. Her doctoral research background in tumourigenesis gives her a direct technical understanding of the biological and scientific concepts underlying the IP she advises on.

Peytee acted as team member on the wind-up of the Cybersecurity Cooperative Research Centre, advising on IP assignment across more than 20 research projects and related Data Custodianship Agreements in a matter valued at $100 million. She advises universities and research institutions on the commercialisation of complex technology assets, applying her scientific background to assess and structure IP frameworks in highly technical subject matter.

Peytee's combination of scientific doctoral training in cancer cell biology and qualification as a Patent and Trade Marks Attorney gives her a technical depth that is rare among IP lawyers. Her ability to engage directly with the science behind the IP she advises on is a meaningful advantage for biotech, medtech and agribiotech clients. She has been recognised by Legal 500 Asia Pacific as a Key Lawyer in Intellectual Property (2022).
