Nusrat is the Managing Partner, India at Dentons Link Legal, and his practice area includes dispute resolution, strategic advisory, alternative dispute resolution, M&A (including cross border transactions), private equity investments, joint ventures, general corporate and commercial matters and ESG for marquee American, European and Indian business clients. He has seasoned experience across various sectors including Agriculture, Fintech, IT, TMT, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Healthcare, Manufacturing and FMCG.

Nusrat was a founder member of DH Law Associates in 1997, which was amongst the then top ranked firms in India as per the RSG India Rankings. DH Law Associates and Link Legal merged in the year 2017.

With nearly three decades of experience, he has advised international clients on complex disputes and regulatory matters, inbound investments, corporate and commercial transactions, foreign direct investment and structuring their entry strategies into the country since India’s post-liberalization.

Having created a niche for himself in the field of international arbitration, he has led arbitrations in India and Singapore, and holds senior positions on multiple international fora, committees, and taskforces on dispute resolution, construction and grievance redressal. He is an empaneled arbitrator with the Maldives International Arbitration Center, Beijing Arbitration Commission, National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited-Mumbai RAC and MCX Stock Exchange. He is a ‘Fellow’ of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), London, and an acting Chairman and Director of CIArb, India Branch, an Executive Committee Member of Mumbai Centre of International Arbitration’s (MCIA) FMCG User Council, Director of IAF (Indian Arbitration Forum), member of Indian Merchant’s Chamber (IMC) - Mediation and Conciliation Committee, member of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Committee on Legal Services and a Member of the Steering Committee of Young International Arbitration and Mediation Centre (IAMC), Hyderabad. He is also the Vice-Chair of the International Construction Projects of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA).

He is the Co-Chair of Agricultural Law Section of International Bar Association (IBA), a leading member of Bombay Bar Association, India Working Group of IBA, Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF), the Ex-President of the Association of British Scholars (Mumbai) and a member of Congress of Fellows of Centre of Legal Studies, Austria.
