Achuthan Haridas is a Partner at our Firm with over 2 decades ofexperience in banking and finance, structured transactions, distressed assets, and in-house legal leadership. He brings a unique combination of law firm training and extensive in-house experience, working with leading financial institutions and law firms in India.

Achuthan’s practice is distinguished by his ability to combine legal precision with commercial pragmatism, particularly in complex, regulated environments. His in-house leadership experience enables him to provide clients with practical, business-oriented advice on risk management, governance, and transaction execution.

Prior to joining our Firm, Achuthan served as Senior Director and Senior Managing Counsel at BNY Mellon India, where he headed the corporate legal function for India and advised on a broad spectrum of transactional, regulatory, governance and contentious matters.

Earlier in his career, Achuthan held senior roles at global financial institutions including JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank, where he advised on structured finance, distressed debt transactions, and special situations investments across Asia. His experience includes structuring and executing complex debt transactions, negotiating documentation under international standards, and handling cross-border restructurings and workouts.
