Career

Simone practises in corporate law with a focus on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border transactions. She advises founders, management teams, and investors across fundraising, acquisitions, and IPOs, from deal structuring and due diligence through to completion.

Her capital markets practice includes IPO work on Bursa Malaysia as well as other corporate exercises. On the M&A side, she has advised on acquisitions involving both Malaysian-incorporated and foreign-listed acquirers, with experience navigating the regulatory and practical demands of multi-jurisdictional deals.

She is known for a commercial, solutions-oriented approach and for building close working relationships with clients at every level, from management through to the board. Working with her team, she leads due diligence and transaction structuring, helping companies navigate complexity with discipline and controlled risk. Clients consistently describe her as someone who makes complex situations feel manageable, combining clear, pragmatic advice with a genuine investment in the people and outcomes she works with.

Simone advises across a range of industries, including construction, property development, and natural resources. She is particularly interested in how capital, governance, and people intersect over time, especially in businesses preparing for scale, exit, or long-term institutional ownership.

Her corporate practice is built on a broad early foundation. Called to the Bar of England and Wales at the Inner Temple in 2016 and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2017, Simone trained across intellectual property, litigation, and wills and estate matters, giving her grounding in both contentious and non-contentious work, before stepping away to complete a Masters in Business Administration, which included time on the investor side of the table at a venture capital firm. That exposure continues to shape how she structures and evaluates deals, letting her assess them as her clients do.
