Partner & Solicitor Advocate

Stephen is a Partner and Solicitor Advocate. He leads our Insurance team and is a member of our Personal Injury Litigation team.

Stephen is known for his no nonsense, pragmatic and sensible approach.

He is adept at ensuring positive results on all aspects of personal injury – a very commercially tight area of insurance work. With a focus driven on resolution of disputes, Stephen is at the heart of managing the provision of a first-rate service to clients who entrust their claims to the team. He is also closely involved in the business relationship management of our key client accounts.

He has particular experience of managing claims with fraud concerns and provides a sharp commercial focus on addressing fraud issues. He is interested in the care home sector and Scottish fatal claims.

Clients rate Stephen’s training sessions highly. Feedback confirms that his friendly down-to-earth approach, with a sense of humour, make education on often dry legal issues lively and real – keeping the audience engaged throughout.

Stephen participates in the Forum of Insurance Lawyers Sector Focus Teams for Scottish Costs and Scottish Rules.
