Managing Partner

Grant is the Managing Partner of BTO and heads our Management Group.

He assumes overall responsibility for the firm’s strategic and operational performance with the aim of driving the positive development of the firm’s vision, culture and strategy.

He has been with BTO since 2000, becoming a Partner in October 2001.

Prior to his election he was head of the firm’s highly ranked Dispute Resolution team from 2018 and was a member of the firm’s former Executive Board. An experienced litigator, he specialised in commercial dispute resolution, including corporate and property litigation, insolvency, asset and commercial debt recovery litigation.

During his career, he regularly appeared in Sheriff Courts and Tribunals throughout Scotland, litigated frequently in the Court of Session and also conducted arbitrations and mediations for BTO’s commercial clients.

German and French (MA Degree). He speaks fluent German and French.
