Dispute Resolution and Aviation

Saket Satapathy joined Tuli & Co in its Dispute Resolution Practice in 2011. He also heads the Firm’s aviation practice called the Aviation Law Group. Saket has 14+ years of experience and frequently reviews and advises on aircraft and engine leasing agreements, assists with the de-registration process of aircraft, advises on aircraft sale and purchase including drafting necessary agreements, along with aircraft financing and debt restructuring.

Saket also specialises in handling insurance, reinsurance, letter of credit, Bank Guarantee transactions, white collar crimes, and joint venture related disputes. He represents Indian Insurers, overseas Reinsurers, aircraft lessors and general commercial clients before the Indian Courts, arbitration tribunals, Company Tribunals, Competition Commission and Securities Tribunal.

Saket has been recognized as a “Key Lawyer” in Aviation (including aerospace and defence) in the 2025 edition and has also been recognized as an “Exceptional” Key Lawyer and “Recommended Lawyer” in Dispute Resolution by Legal 500 since 2022. The 2025 edition says, “Saket offers practical and commercial advice, which is always well-reasoned” and “Saket is always strongly supporting us and providing clear guidance and advice not only from a legal perspective but also from the client's view”. The 2024 edition says, “Saket Satapathy has the zeal to do the unthinkable and challenge the status quo to get desired outcome for his clients”. He has also been recognised as a “Key Lawyer” in Dispute Resolution in the 2025 and 2022 editions with the 2022 edition describing him as, “well regarded by clients and specialises in handling insurance and commercial disputes, representing Indian insurers, overseas reinsurers and general commercial clients on a range of proceedings before the Indian courts.” Saket has also been recognised as a Future Legal Leader in the IBLJ Future Legal Leaders 2022 List.

Saket joined Tuli & Co in 2011 and was made a partner in 2021.
